complete!

Yippeeeee.. completed term 1 of college. the past few weeks was crazy. last min assignments. its like the deadlines are all together.and even had to study for the exams. furthermore, i went for the f1 catering event and it took up 2 weekends. becos of that, i couldn't study at all for ENVG which was on monday! honestly, i didnt even read 2 chapters of it. but it was OK i guess. i just hope i don't fail! i just checked out the students portal. saw my term 2 timetable.all i can say for now is ...shit! cos its like so much more busy than term1! wat the hell.. no off day already!!!! the earliest class ends at 2.30. others are like 5 or after 5pm.....no............i better enjoy my term hols as much as possible..hahahah..anyway, bout f1 thingy, the company who hired us through college is Do&Co. we're suppose to serve vip guests at the f1 paddock club.
my station was at the lounge & bar area. the very first box-if u may call it; where all the guests first walks into the paddock club. that area, you could have a nice view on the race. woohoo. the whole time the cars are just flying past you. and the f1 car noises are addictive. haha! after the first day of working there, my WHOLE left arm was bloody sore.tats becos we carried the "tepsin" which means tray in whatever language full of beverages. urgh, the scariest for me was to carry like 24 glasses on champagne flute on the tepsin. luckily , not a single 1 fell. heehee. i gained alot during that two days.haha, i also get to eat alot yummy candies n tidbits. the chef at the lounge area who i partially work with too said we could just take any of the pastries or those candies to eat. but of course not eat at the open area. just have to eat em at the mini manipulation area. i get to work at the bar with Kathrin on sunday cos it was superr duperr busy that day-as t'was the final race day.during serving too, alot of the guest was like asking me whr was i from and all. i rmbred one didnt believe i was a pure malaysian chinese. some think im from korea, japan, taiwan. grr, i dunno...oh yea, there's this 1 ahmo man, v tall n shaved bald head with a fren came snap pics of me. it was really weird cos i was just working on some drinks at the bar then he place his big camera on the countertop and snap pics. when i didn't look up, he called out my name, (n i got no choice but to look @ him) then he snapped my pic. haha, that is the weirdest case of all. other ones, asked my permission if i could just stand beside em to take a pic. hmm, wat else..oh yea, some of my lucky friends got to work @ the ferrari box. kit yee, worked there n on sat she got to see Kimmi Raikkonen. hahaha. she said he was flocked with bodyguards. those who worked there got souveniors too! they got a ferrari toy model. some other friends got to work @ the perdana suite- the royal box i think. they served the royal family i think? haha. but i know that they did serve our ex prime minister-dr. mahathir. lol! heehee. well, there's more who worked at other interesting boxes and met alot new diff ppl + gain diff experiences. hmm, i kinda miss working with the crew when i think back.here's some pics

Visiting hotel

Hie everybody. Yesterday went to visit a hotel. Supposedly visit last tues to Le Meridien Kuala Lumpur ; but the person in charge for housekeeping department has not been cooperating with us. according to kit yee, that person is always busy and doesn't want to pick up our calls. lol. well, this is actually a assignment. housekeeping assignment to have a report on grooming standards / professional communication for the housekeeping staffs. in de end, we went for Shangri- La Putrajaya. its quite far from subang, ummm, the place is obviously quiet. n the targeted clienteles for this hotel is like business people. outside is quiet, inside is also quiet. its a 5 star hotel but i don't know why the reception is one of the worse reception i have ever seen for a hotel. its just a desk. like an office type desk. but it is larger/ longer and made of transparent glass or watever. then theres a computer ; which the back of it faces the guest.

other than that, everything else is v nice. we got the chance to see the parkview room. which is the second grade room ( i think) it is v nice. have the pic, but i don't think i should simply publish it here. umm, the guy we interviewed also explained that the suites have double floors. wow.. well, we didnt get to see that. haha..after interviewing mr laurentius (the f.o. manager) we took our own tour around the hotel. Ben (senior) is the one who drove us there and suggested the place actually. it's because he had worked there before during his industrial training.we went to the poolside at first, but there's sum maintenance going on there. and the big boss of the hotel was there. the view from there was v nice. i managed to took a pic.

so that's it. nothing much bout the hotel to say. but it is a good experience for me and my group members.. cos what we learnt in college is the same as whats going on in the hotels! cant wait for end of this year's industrial training..! well, anyway, my sis ferinna is leaving to singapore this thursday. and i can't send her off on thursday because there's the f1 training ( dats if i pass the interview, lol) so i plan to cook some stuff for her which i learnt at pastry class the other day. only get to show her the pics. now im showing u all the pics..wahahhahaha..tempting!

grrr...annoying projects.. can't wait for it to get over. watever it is, so glad that already done computer project, world cuisine ( england) and also front office project..yesterday we sat for our first exam for business in tourism and hospitality. 50 MCQ questions in 1 hr.. hehe. quite difficult. dr wong, really wished us "good luck". i think he's kinda annoyed n dislike our batch these days, cos, some students have been acting irresponsible in class. btw, he made my fren wei yen cried yesterday. juz becos she's going for a competition n has to miss the exam. heard he was rude n sarcastic towards her. anyhow, good for wei yen cos she got permission to take the exam earlier. n guess wut! she won the loreal studio model search thingy! felt kinda bad didnt go to support her. cos its at zouk, n she said ppl <21>

now enuff bout the doggies, i have a decision making problem!i can't choose to go for a nike fitness challenge event or being a part of a F1 racing event. both of it is sumthing under college. the f1 thingy, is bout serving the chief managers or watever high pangkat ppl of the f1 racers above tha paddock on the race day. since we're in hospitality management, we do learn some stuff bout these. so this is like a rare chance for us juniors to participate in these big event. we do get paid though. next saturday is the interview. the race day is on de 22nd. about the nike thingy, its called "this is love event"; only for college young women to participate. its something like, gotta do some fitness moves until u sweat . maybe something like body combat? i think so. well, its inter college competitions. hsu ann, and eurecca already planning to join this cool event. so they're inviting me to join them. it's reli reli fun and also the grand prize is attractive. i think its rm30,000 then gotta share among team members. rm5000 will go off as a education scholarship or something like dat la. it's not like i think i can win the grand prize, but i wanna join for the fun of it! and bout the f1 thingy, its a v rare opportunity. good for experience. damn.. i dont know which to participate! any suggestions; anyone?

IT project done!!

Phew, at last the IT project is DONE! in a group of 4, we have to set up a website, a powerpoint presentation, a press kit including flyers, brochures, newsletters promoting taylor's college school of hospitality n tourism. damn alot of work. n it cost us so much for the printings! yesterday, monday was my off day. rare.. but had to go to coll to do some touch up on our prjects. in the library, me, kityee, n hsu ann played around with henry's laptop. played with the "you cam" thingy. its like super cool. here's some retarded pics of us! lol..

Today went out wif my dear high school mates.. really fun get to meet them again today. the ones hu came are me, jess, siu mei, michelle, chi chun, lim, n han siong. baba suppose to come. but she's working or something.. haih.. sunday wor..seems like she has dissapeared. lol, didnt talk to her since january i think. anyways, watched the movie vantage point today. t'was v cool & interesting la. assasination of the president. hehe..thanks to mr lim, he blanja us watch movie o.O

we had prob looking for a place to have lunch. went to look for the shabu shabu. we went finding hi n low for it. we finally did found it @ asian avenue. n its an empty lot. lol.. says on the lil board "shabu shabu coming soon".. i was like wat the hell man. y did the concierge person lead us there though its not even opened? wasting time n strength oni. we ended up in teppanyaki. the service was horrible.. like crap. dun go there again. n they charged quite expensive for their service..
nothing much we did @ pyramid actually. just hang around n get updated with old buddies. twas fun hanging out with them aft a v long time. now, dun't know when is de next time get to see them. on spm results day maybe?

cold morning.

Hello..

its a cold morning..woke up up 8am today. cos Henry & gang told me last nite they planning to come by to play at the bb court near my hse. so we were supposr to have bfast together. but it was raining quite heavy, then henry, n teck wei textd me to say they're not coming anymore, n ask me to continue sleeping.. lol..but i couldnt go back to sleep. so,...i went out fr my room n see there's no bfast. mom dad n veronica went out to sjmc or something to check veronica's backbone..lol...n so i decided to cook my own bfast. n the best bfast to accompany the cold morning is some hot soup! haha! the other day during kitchen class @ coll we learnt how to cook vegetable soup, mayonaise, vinegrate, and salad. above, is the soup n salad that was made in class. kit yee as my partner. since, i had the ingredients to make the vegetable soup in my fridge, i went off as a lone ranger to cook it. took me bout 2 hours i think. haha! cos of the vegetable cutting n the simmering of the soup.i luv cutting the vegetables btw. below is my version of vegetable soup

poor bread crumbs.oh well, the soup turned out v good. i wanted to wake my sis ferinna up. was bout 10 something that time. but i wuz sked. cos she doesnt like ppl disturbing her sleep. so i watched tv n eat by myself. not long afta dat, i heard her opening her room door. so i called out to her to come eat! heh heh. she was happy of cos. yay...got some soup left but keeping it for my parents to try when they come home.


anyway, last nite stayed back at college till around 9.45 pm. had dinner again.its an orientation dinner. but more formal than the previous one. its like our whole batch of students dine together (like a banquet) with seniors and college lecturers. the aim is to like let us juniors get to know the seniors n stuff like dat. afterall, the seniors from batch 25 and 26 are the ones who organized this event for us. it was v good! the food is great. for starter we had cream of cauliflower, which tasted very much like clam chowder to me. but it was v delicious. then for main course we had roasted chicken. i think the sauce with it is garlic butter sauce..not reli sure. yummy. then for the dessert we had carrot cake, usually i dislike carrot cakes. never liked it. but this one was damn good. i only got to take a pic of this.

Hello everyone!
I know i have not been updating for quite some time. college is crazy. so many freakin assignments. and assessments coming up. no time for the frequent update for my blog =(
Anyways, last nite at college me, hsu ann, irene, and BB dined in at the school restaurant. sim as our server. main course was beef steak. it was v good! here's the pic

the sidelines was kinda pathetic. they could have done better. but the black pepper beef steak was v good. had pineapple flambe again for dessert.
i know, fr this pic the pineapple flambe doesn't look appetizing at all. i couldn't finish it ..just had a small bite. wasn't really that bad actually. just that was full from the main course and pineapple isn't for me. don't reli like it.

ok, enough bout the food. now back to me again. haha =D
well, nowadays i've been staying back at coll after classes. almost everyday stay back till 5pm to the stuff at the library. i think my assignments are nvr gonna end. but i think it's normal? i think im lacking of sleep hours. i always allocate at least 8 hours of sleep for myself everynite. but i hav not been following it the past 2 weeks. maybe that's wats causing me to be kinda moody at class these days. yesterday during business of tourism & hospitality lecture class, our lecturer was quite mad n dissapointed bout the attendance. cos there's guest speakers and some of the students doesn't take the effort to attend it. even to that, they ask their friends who's in class to help them mark attendance.when our lecturer Dr. Kong ( or something like dat) found out the attendance list doesn't tally with the num of ppl he sees in the auditorium, he got abit mad and started taking attendance again.i've come to know why did they take our attendance so seriously. initially i thought they're just gonna send our progress and our attendences to our parents but i didn't know that if we attend >80% (of that certain sub for the whole term) we get additional 5% marks to our final exam. woot woot! this is good. haha. 5% is alot..kinda pity hsu ann, cause she sacrificed 2 fridays for her driving exam. i think she gotta sacrifice the next fri again for it. cause she failed.now , im getting scared for myself. will be taking exam soon. not sure when cos i got 4 more hrs of practice... ughh.. damn lazy to go driving practices..


talking bout assessments, yesterday we had our v first assessment.subject is world geography. during our 4 hr 30 mins break, all of us went to the library to study. we had a long break cause our culinary class with chef tan is cancelled for this week. it's becos chef tan went to france with the seniors for de 2 week residency thingy. for the geo assessment, it conists of 20%. wow..and its all short answers. when mr boey passed the question papers, i was kinda shock he didnt ask all of us to sit further apart. we were all sitting side by side. didn't know mr boey was so hardworking, that every single question paper is DIFFERENT. so all of us got different questions. if you just look at the papers together at a glance, you would think its the same. cos he structure the questions quite similarly. for example, the first question is fill in the blank. den the second question is MCQ. then theres a blank map for us to draw , etc. looks the same but its all diff questions. okay, i tink i gotta stop ryte here. gotta continue with my college work now..='( i'll update soon! byebye!

yesterday was last day @ coll b4 the cny hols, so me n my frens decided to wear some red clothing. lol, i wore a striking red skirt (too striking till too shy to walk around). kit wore a red chinese-like top, ann & ashley wore pink, and john wore red tie.

On thurs, i went to school library to do some research and some assignments. though i dun have any classes on thurs, its nice to hang out at the library alone. lol, i mean i wasn't all alone, there r other students using the library too. i was researchin some stuff and cuisine on british-england cuisine. one of the website also publish some on "superstitions" of their culture. i was curious bout it so i browsed it la.under the "good luck" section, theres one this-

just heard something bout cloverfield movie on the radio early this morning. they said after the movie so called "ended" when the lights are out in the cinema, n ppl start getting out of the cinema, n the cleaners cleaning the place, till after the credits and all, there's a secret audio clip. n de "secret" audio clip has to be listened backwards to get the message. sorry U-JINN when u said "let's wait, n see if there's something after the credits" cause we didnt care n we left before the credits ended. hahah.watever! i won't be watching the WHOLE movie again just to get to the secret audio clip...

i've been victimized many times by this creature.. her name is ann. at college the other day, she pulled my hair and ask me to blanja her food when i was walkin.. i'm not sure how she reached my hair with her height..i think she jumped.
in the locker room too, she wanted to take off her clothes infront of me n kit yee! obviously i shoo-ed her away be4 i get blinded by the sight. haha! then while i was gonna put on my chef uniform, she started taking a video of me n kit yee. asking us to do some stuff on camera.. =S

yesterday at geography lesson, out of nowhere, she snatched my "post-its" and drew this

she added a "he" there which actually symbolizes that she has reached a state where she is semi-male. *ahem*..


she's a real meanie, after wat she done to me and kit yee the other day when we played the daytona racing. me n kit yee was leading at first, when ann was nowhere to be seen. suddenly, when i was struggling at sum sharp corner, the crazy ann came and smashed me towards the sides, n my car flew away. lol, she did the same to kit yee..she laughed like a wicked witch when she did that to us..!

today wuz first kitchen (pastry) class at coll. we baked a simple butter cake+raisins in it. we were seperated into groups of 2 but since there was 13 of us, chef Tan took me as his partner today. it was most tiring when i gotta stir and beat the batter alone. it was so frikkin tiring. lol, Beste and Tania was kind enough to lend a hand, they helped me beat the batter a while. the cake turned out succesful, it was yummy when served together with the vanilla custard "sauce". too bad we could only get a slice of the cake. cause this cake was made to be served at the college restaurant as a dessert.

today was actually v tiring. there isnt any chairs in the kitchen. was standing the whole time from 8 AM to 1.15 PM. luckily chef tan dismissed us 15 mins earlier. anyways, before we left, a senior from culinary arts came to us and asked for volunteer to help them out at the kitchen tomoro. im not sure doing what but according to chef tan, it would improve our knowledge in the kitchens or whatever. the senior supposedly to "supervise" us. i did volunteer myself, cause it wud be a good experience, and also get to know my seniors better.

Past few days was busy with college. since it was first week, we had to introduce ourselves almost everytime we enter a new class. so far, my classes are very very fun! i luv the topics and subjects covered. looking forward to it.

today is actually my dat off fr college. for this term, every thursday i don't have classes. but for today, at 10 AM, we students fr culinary/hospitality are required to take a jap- typhoid inoculation. its some sort of precautionary step to prevent us fr getting whatever disease-since we'll be handling raw food sometimes. the jap was quick and not so pain. i wuz a lil scared at first cause, another guy- Ivan took the jap earlier and he was like complaining. i even heard that the needle broke when injected; to another guy. so after that, me, see leong, u-jinn, chee hang, and ying min went to 1U to catch the new movie "cloverfield".. see the movie poster below--

it sucks like hell overall. the worse movie i've seen this year (lol, just 17 days)
booooooooOOOO..
basically, the whole movie is like camera recorded, they don't need to hire a cameraman cause the actor is holding a "video" cam and running around taping the whole monster scene and all. it's so stewpid and dizzy to watch. i closed my eyes most of the time cause if i get to dizzy cause of the camera shaking, i might just vomit rite on de spot.furthermore,
the ending of the movie was just purely stupid. they left the story just like that with no explanations on the monster which appeared out of no where or even what happened to the freakin monster/or to the whole world..well, the first phrase i said when the movie ended was " OMG" cause it was so dumb, then others was like saying " HUH?" and i bet hsu ann said "what the hell"



whatever it is, pls dun watch it!!!! its a totally waste of $, time, life, and eye power. lol.just go watch miss swan @ youtube.its 100times better.

3rd day of orientation..

Today was just bout playing games..teambuilding games to be more precise. also to get to know new people-the new people whom we are gonna meet most of the time, cause we're in the same batch for the intake. The only game i was afraid of was the game about "trust". Team members suppose to carry one member up (while laying in a horizontal position) and put him/her through a hoola hoop which is hanging about i tink 2 metre++ above ground. The people in charge said each n every1 has to go thru. A girl name Tanya kept asking me to try it, cause all de other girls are shy and scared. Well, i was too at first. but it seems OK. lol. But in the end, not all the people have to go through it. cause we were running out of time. but it was a good experience tho. can feel alot of ppl lifting me up. ! haha! after all the games and all, me , hsu anne, john, n kit yee suppose to walk to the ktm station behind the coll. v near n convenient. but on the way, kit yee's friend called and she didnt need to use the ktm ride home. john was alone then. cause me and anne going to subang jaya station, whereas john needs to go to the petaling station. it was me and anne's first time riding the ktm. john told us to sit at the opposite platform cause we're going to the subang station.

the ride on the ktm was fun. we were acting abit jinjang on it..keep laughing when it started to move fast. i tink it's bout a 1 min ride, or less to reach de subang jaya station. when we got out, it waspouring rain..very heavy! and we don't have any umbrella. so we got no choice but to run under the rain..from the station to subang parade. luckily, hsu anne took out a spare shirt and it shielded our head abit. while we were making our way to parade, a very kind indonesian chinese guy-also from taylor's (cause he's wearing de same shirt i was wearing) came up to us and offered us his umbrella. So 3 of us walked n walked, until we reached carefour entrance, that guy, (i tink his name was Benny) has to stopped cause his apartment was the 1 beside carefour. he still offered his umbrella to us but since he was in taking culinary arts, we won't be able to see each other n for us to return his umbrella. lol. he kept askin us to take it, but it's OK, cause we had fun running under de rain. so we said bye to Benny and continued running to parade. hsu anne said "wah, so romantic" lol, it would BE if both of us weren't girls. anyway, when we reached inside parade, some chinese guy said something in catonese which says "whole body wet" or something like dat. Hsu anne translated it for me..he must be some kinda perv or something.


i brought anne to eat at king pie. it's been 2 years since i've at em' . lola was at the counter, when i came and suprised her, she ran out fr the counter n we huggd. lol. then she gave me free pie and fries...yum yum..felt kinda bad cause couldn't wait till lola's break time, if can we could hang out like old times. we used to go to the Secret CC inside digital 1 at parade. no1 seems to know bout it. then at times, we plyd at the arcade..the lousy arcade..

Anyways, after the lunch and all, me and anne went to look for coll clothes again. i bot a long sleeve "formal" top. anne liked 1 chinese collar type top but didn't buy it. cause she said she wanna consult her mom first..i think..so, dat wuz all for the day. now, looking forward for my 1st official class at college. on tuesday..!

Hi everyone,
I've been very busy lately. Just started college yesterday. They have arranged that it is a 3 day orientation program. It seems they're very concerned bout us experiencing a new college life. There's alot of other people taking diploma in hospitality management as well- when compared to the ones taking culinary arts and tourism management. I saw there was only 9 people taking tourism! Anyway, there's alot of other international students. In my course, there are some from Korea, Indonesia, China, and etc. Hope i get a chance to mingle with them abit. Yesterday, we all were divided into groups- based on our proficiency in english i think.We did a English test on our first day of orientation.I think they seperated us based on our marks fr that test. The test was divided into several sections. First, was audio listening and jotting down the answers to the questions provided. 100% attentive skills are needed on that. Some answers are not even given directly.If ur mind ever mingle off for just a sec, u'll miss out a point. Well, luckily i got exempted from the english classes. That means, i don't need to go for eng classes for two terms i think. I think the korean students had to take em' cause i saw them in one of the last few groups.

Anyway, i did made new friends on de second day of college. It's really fun getting to know and meet new people. During our 3 hours plus lunch break (actually suppose to be only 1 hour, but they have breifing session for the international student-so we local students are dismissed), we went to hang out at the 7th floor. Chee Hang brought us there. That place is equipped with snooker and pool tables. full of it. Also some foosball machine. It's a cool place to hang out cause there's a huge TV where the MTV channel is on. But it sucks when people starts smoking.

OH no, i have to stop here for today. I got more to write now but my dad is insisting that he needs to use the com now. lol. I'll write more tomoro! Bye bye
